Inner Focus Flowing Yoga                                                                         instructor: Lucinda Pepper 
 
 
Move, breathe, and generate body awareness in this fun and focused yoga class!  Learn how to feel your body from the inside out in Inner Focus Yoga, a practice that combines active poses with mindfulness and meditation techniques.  Poses in this class are practiced both statically (held for a few moments or more) and dynamically (moving from pose to pose in time with your breathing - vinyasa flow style yoga).
 
Inner Focus Yoga is a unique combination of Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Viniyoga, and other movement traditions such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Authentic Movement.  Click here to read more about the types of yoga included in an Inner Focus class.
 
 
 
 
In this class you will develop:
  • Strength;
  • Flexibility;
  • Core strength and stability;
  • Endurance (mental and physical); and
  • Overall vitality and wellness.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In Inner Focus Yoga you will practice:

  • seated, standing, and balancing poses;
  • yoga on your belly;
  • yoga on your back; 
  • inversions (upside-down poses);
  • developing self awareness;
  • creating your body-mind connection;
  • healthy and deep breathing techniques;
  • learning the foundation of yoga practice;
  • basic yoga philosophy; and
  • concentration / meditation techniques.
