What is Included in a Personal Yoga Session?
In a one-on-one session, Lucinda will teach you each pose she recommends, and adjust it so it is perfect for your body. She will help you delve into your yoga practice with mindfulness and intention. Each personal yoga session provides plenty of time for you to ask questions and receive answers, and to change or add to the focus of your practice as necessary.
At the end of your session, you will receive a customized packet, containing photos and detailed, step by step instructions for each pose you practiced, benefits and cautions for each pose, and other information such as mindfulness techniques or instructions for breathing practices.
How Often Should I Have a Personal Yoga Session?
If you like, you can come back again to learn more poses that will help you work toward your goal. In subsequent personal yoga sessions, Lucinda can assess your alignment and body mechanics and make recommendations to improve your body's functioning in the poses. Lucinda might also recommend more advanced versions of the poses you have been working on, or provide you with tools such as breathing practice and meditation.
Yoga practice develops your body, mind, and spirit much the way a baby in the womb grows. Rather than first growing one limb and then another, a baby's limbs develop bit by bit at the same time. In the same way, your yoga practice will grow your physical self (strength, stamina and flexibility), your mental self (concentration, focus and determination), and your spiritual self (connectedness to others, a sense of meaning and purpose); little by little but all at the same time.
