Embodied Health, LLC
Embodied Health, LLC is passionately committed to serving all people through providing health services that inspire individuals to actively commit to personal and community wellness.

Embodied Health, LLC (formerly bright hands : light body, LLC) was founded in 2005 by Lucinda A. Pepper.
Lucinda A. Pepper is a certified massage therapist, certified yoga teacher, visionary business owner and wellness enthusiast.
Member: Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals; Yoga Alliance Registered (RYT200)
Lucinda believes that massage therapy and yoga are not simply spa services destined to pamper a specific sector of our communities. Massage therapy and yoga should be made available to all people and should be presented as powerful tools that can significantly change a person's experience in their body. This passion arises in part from Lucinda's own history of relational and social trauma, including her experiences of oppression due to homophobia, sexism and economic disadvantage, and in part from Lucinda’s deeply-held conviction that our sophisticated nervous systems and attentive bodies both affect and are affected by our life’s experiences, including injustice and oppression.
Not all bodies receive touch the same way and so no two massage therapy sessions are alike. Gender, cultural identity, sexuality, history of abuse and trauma, religion and spirituality all affect the way a person receives massage and accesses their body's capacity for healing. Lucinda understands and continues to study the dynamic between personal identity, trauma history, and touch, and strives to provide massage therapy that each client's body and mind can individually accept, understand, embrace, and utilize for healing.

Similarly, yoga classes offered in places such as fitness clubs, by the nature of the venue and the atmosphere, exclude many people from truly understanding, practicing, appreciating, and therefore obtaining the benefits of yoga. Lucinda's yoga classes and personal instruction are demystified, yet provide students with understanding of their body and body mechanics, teach self-care techniques that promote healing, and encourage increased well-being. Lucinda works to create a community atmosphere in yoga classes that all students will find as safe and enjoyable.
