| WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS You must pre-register for workshops and special events. FOR QUESTIONS Call 651-235-8254 or send an e-mail Most workshops require a minimum number of students for the workshop to go ahead. Once the workshop is confirmed and the registrations are confirmed, there are no refunds. If you cannot attend the workshop you have registered for, you may find someone to attend in your place. In case of inclement weather, the registrants for a workshop will be notified as soon as the decision is made to not hold the workshop. If a workshop is cancelled due to inclement weather, full refunds will be provided to all registrants. If a workshop interests you, please register as soon as possible to ensure that the workshop will happen. LOOKING FOR A SPACE TO HOLD YOUR WORKSHOP? The Seva Studio is available for small-group workshops of 5-25 people (depending on workshop format). We are happy to share rates and other rental details with you as you plan your workshop. In general, workshops are appropriate for all levels of experience (including none!) unless otherwise specified.
- Breath of Life
Learn healthy breathing patterns, and explore various ways of breathing to calm anxiety, decrease mental confusion and stress, get energized, and increase clarity. Deepen your understanding of how breathing and yoga poses work together, and develop a breathing practice to combine with your yoga practice.
- Yoga For Low Back Pain Relief
Gain an understanding of the muscle and skeletal influence on low back pain, as well as exploring the connection of low back pain to mental/emotional stress. Understand how to improve your body's balance to prevent or relieve low back pain. Learn how to strengthen core muscles that support the low back. Learn a short series of poses that you can use regularly to treat your discomfort and pain.
- Mindfulness & Embodied Self-Care Skills
Experience revelation as you bring your minds attention deeply into your body and discover you are more than a brain with legs! Learn how to follow your body's sensations and cues mindfully during both stressful and calm moments. Develop an understanding of how stress affects your nervous system, and broaden your ability to experience emotions and stress while maintaining balance and taking care of your needs. Learn how to shift from the language of the mind to the language of the body to mindfully notice your response to stress. Learn tools that can help your body regulate and that can build resiliency that will help you navigate both challenging and joyful situations with less stress.
- Iyengar Yoga Weekend
Join our Iyengar teachers in deepening your Iyengar Yoga practice. Weekend workshops have focused on developing your home practice, deepening your study of yoga philosophy, and studying poses in-depth. The weekend workshop topic will be announced once confirmed.
- Yoga for Parents & Children
Are you the parent or guardian/caregiver to a child between the ages of 5 and 8? This engaging workshop will teach parents and kids interactive yoga poses, companion resting practices, and mindfulness skills. Fun, informal, and exploratory, this workshop will increase the child-caregiver bond and foster the innate curiosity children have about being in their bodies.
- Yoga on Two Wheels: A Yoga-Bicycling Adventure
Travel through your practice differently- on your bicycle! This workshop is for all bicycling abilities and for all levels of yoga experience. Practice invigorating, strengthening, balancing yoga on your mat before hopping on your bike for a scenic ride including paths along the Mississippi River. Stop along the way to practice mindfulness, yoga poses, and learn about breathing techniques and pose practices to use while in the saddle. Finish your ride with a calming set of poses that address your major bicycling muscles, and a deep relaxing guided meditation.

LOCATION: 2506 University Ave W in St. Paul is located right by Hwy 280 at the University Avenue exit, in a large brick building that occupies the entire block. Embodied Health is located in the storefront immediately west of the 2500 University entrance. Please use this entrance. Metered parking spaces in front of the building are inactive until the completion of the current phase of Central Corridor Construction on University Avenue.
Two hour parking spaces are available behind the building on Franklin Ave as well as on the west side of the building on Cromwell Ave.
Additional two hour parking spaces are available on Pelham Blvd., which runs perpendicular to University Ave on the east side of the building.
