MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage Therapy for relaxation gives mental quiet time, relieves stress, strengthens the function of your body's own healing systems, and is helpful in relieving general feelings of physical discomfort and fatigue. While relaxation massage can be useful in reducing some specific pain conditions, it might be more helpful to use deep tissue massage for treatment of specific pain. Massage for relaxation is deeply refreshing and encourages vibrant health.

Used for effective, lasting pain relief, deep tissue massage addresses specific pain conditions. A deep tissue massage generally focuses on one or two painful areas in order to provide the most immediate reduction of pain and create lasting changes in the painful area. In this massage, each layer of your body in the painful area is treated to release restrictions, improve range of motion, increase flexibility and encourage natural movement.

This systematic approach is designed to investigate and treat long-term localized pain. Deep tissue massage is combined with postural analysis, joint movement restoration, facilitated stretching, and self-care instruction. You'll attend up to 5 sessions, specifically timed, to address the causes of your pain and reduce the chances of it returning. Specialties: neck pain; tension headaches; shoulder, elbow and wrist joint conditions (tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome) lower back pain, and knee pain.
